Bugs in my rice
This is what you get stuck with when you find there are bugs in your rice 5 minutes after the commissary has closed.....surprisingly not bad with some flavoring from salsa chicken though.
Swimming with Sharks
SHARK!! I think it was a white tipped reef shark maybe. It was actually really cool and not scary at all! I swam towards the shark....seems kinda stupid but hey, whatever, it looked harmless! It didn't eat George so I figured I'd be ok.
There were two! We saw a third at the next dive site....they were attracted to George.

Got my hair did for free!
The Hairstylist's attempt and styling my hair
Much better after I do it myself, even using the exact same products she did!
I was supposed to get my hair cut by Paul Brown, but I guess the friend of a friend didn't put our names in so boo to that! However, they had another group of local hairstylists cutting hair along side him and he came over and gave a quick consult. I got my hair cut by Natalie from Couture. She did a decent job too! It's not the fantastic change I was looking for, but hey it was free! Think I might like it better after I fix it myself though!

Oklahoma Hail Damage
Ok so I forgot to take a picture today, so I'm stealing a picture that was taken by my soon to be sister in law. This is a picture of hail damage in Oklahoma, this is my brother and his fiance's apartment. All but one of their windows were blown out, their blinds shredded, the siding ruined, and their cars heavily damaged. Crazy!

Purple Wednesday
At work every day is a different color, Wednesday is purple and it's my favorite now! Why? Purple is the color of like half of my March of Dimes stuff! Got to wear my MOD family team t-shirt under my scrub top, my MOD bracelets, and my MOD bag for all my stethescopes, and other nursing equipment! I decided I needed a new bag to carry all my stuff in because the one I had was from the old hospital I worked at, so I figured I'd rep it up for the MOD a little! Sorry for the myspace-ish pic, I was gonna have Charles take a picture for me but he left for work early thanks to the inspection. I wanted this pic just in case I couldn't find anything else to take a picture of, and good thing I did becasue there wasn't anything else!
Living life for today
Since Emilyn and Hailey were born I have become very involved in the March of Dimes and have "met" many wonderful women. One of those is Kate. Her son Kyle was born prematurely at 33 weeks and ended up spending about 9 months in the NICU before he was able to come home. However, coming home wasn't the end of his journey through prematurity. He has been in and out of the hospital many times and has had over thirteen surgeries, with another very big one coming up in the next week or two. This one will hopefully help to get him off of his IV TPN that he is dependent on to give him the nutrition he needs. Not too long ago Kyle went to another state to have a round of testing to see what was going on with his stomach, they couldn't fly commercial because of the IV medicine and oxygen that Kyle requires. Angel Flights stepped in to get him to where he needed to be. I saw that Kate was selling these t-shirts to raise money to donate to Angel flights and a branch of the March of Dimes that provides support to parents of babies in the NICU as well as parents who have lost their babies. I just had to have one for several reasons. They're adorable, the money raised will benefit two amazing charities, and I just had to show my love and support to this brave little boy and his amazing mommy! This five year old boy is so brave and is happy despite all the challenges he is facing in his life, and his smile just melts your heart. Kate does everything she can to keep him home, keep him healthy, and most of all keep him happy. I'm so happy that I have "met" her and am proud to wear my I<3KYLESTCLAIR t-shirt to show this amazing family my support.

Mother's Day Projects
My Flower Pots with roses, they're kind of in sad shape but I'm hoping they'll perk up soon with a little TLC!
Scrapbooking with the quotes I put on the flower pots
Scrapbooking with a letter to my girls.
I was invited to take part in a Mother's Day project for women who have lost their sweet angels. My first task was to paint flower pots with a quote and my girls' names. My second task was to have tea and write in my journal answering several questions. After that I made couple of scrapbook pages, one with a letter to my girls and the other with the quotes I put on my flower pots. Then I put the flowers in the pots and took pictures! It kept me busy most of the day and was so peaceful!

Don't mess with me momma
The only time Molly ever snaps at anyone is when she has a bone, she takes them very seriously. We of course take advantage of this time to mess with her and chase her around the house when she has a bone, resulting in her turning into a little razorback. How perfect for her since she spent the first part of her life in Arkansas, razorback country!

Whipped Cream.....Molly's favorite
Most Expensive Volunteer Position Ever
Went to volunteer at the gift shop today. I hadn't been there since exactly a month ago. I saw these cute coffee mugs and also this really cute beaded bonsai tree. I thought it looked like a cherry blossom tree, and sure enough after I bought it I found a tag and that's what it said it was. I love it!! The picture doesn't do it justice
